Florida Man (Comic Strip Sample)
Here’s another example of my work with comics. It’s a fun piece of media that I made in response to all the absurd, “Florida Man” headlines we often see online. The headline was and is so commonly shared that Florida Man has became an internet cryptid to me; a redneck bigfoot, if you will. That’s when the idea of Florida Man Comics came to me. So, I called up a talented friend to ask about doing some art for me, she said yes, and I sent her a couple scripts. The results were bite-sized short stories about the world’s strangest superhero and his exploits.
I’m including this sample because I believe it showcases my ability to do collaborative work within a visual medium. It required clear communication between two parties, it was made on a deadline, and we both made creative contributions that helped the final product evolve into what it is now!
